Manitoba Mobile Team To Increase Community Capacity and Access

The Manitoba Anisininew Mobile Addictions Network (MAMAN) provides trauma-informed, culturally safe addiction medicine and harm reduction services for Anisininew members of the Island Lake communities and for Island Lake members living in Winnipeg (Treaty 1 territory).

MAMAN was developed in partnership with communities to reduce barriers to care and ensure services are accessible, respectful, and responsive to community-identified needs.

 

Services We Provide

  • Harm reduction services and supplies
  • Access to opioid agonist treatment (OAT), including Suboxone and Sublocade
  • Addiction medicine support
  • Referrals to detox, residential treatment, and other wellness services
  • Ongoing follow-up and care coordination
  • STBBI Testing, screening and education

In-Community & Mobile Services

MAMAN provides in-community addiction services for Island Lake members and regularly travels to:
  • Red Sucker Lake Anisininew Nation
  • Garden Hill Anisininew Nation

In the future, services will also expand to:

  • Wasagamack Anisininew Nation
  • Theresa Point Anisininew Nation

Urban Clinic Services

Island Lake members who are living in Winnipeg or temporarily in the city can also access services through our urban clinic by appointment.
